At the Spanish School “Sol Latino” we are not satisfied with just providing Spanish courses; therefore one of our goals is to provide a full range of services. We work hard to make our students as comfortable as possible while they concentrate on learning Spanish.
Our contact in Guatemala City is Lorena at the guesthouse “Dos Lunas” (2 moons); this is definitely the fastest, easiest and most comfortable choice for a place to stay on your first night. Someone from Dos Lunas will meet you at the airport at any hour and any day, even late at night. If your flight arrives early in the morning or during the day they can take you directly to the bus station where you can travel to Quetzaltenango the same day. If your flight arrives later in the day, you can sleep at the guesthouse and the next day someone from the hotel will drop you off at the bus station to travel to Quetzaltenango.
If you are interested in working as a volunteer, we at “Sol Latino” will work with you to help you find a suitable social project for your abilities and desires.
We are the only school in Quetzaltenango that offers different lodging options and provides you the possibility of living and sharing residence with other students in the school’s guesthouse. For more information visit: www.geocities.com/casalatinaxela
We would be happy to arrange lodging, transportation, day trips and tours for you - wherever you want to go!
While you study at “Sol Latino” you can use the school computers or bring your laptop to take advantage of the unlimited WiFi access!
Staying in touch with friends and family back home while you study Spanish in Quetzaltenango is easy. You can receive phone calls and letters at our office without any charge.
If you would like to maintain contact with your family and friends from wherever you are without having to buy a cell phone, we offer you the chance to rent one at an economic price: less than $2 each week!
You can leave your clothes at the school and pick them up clean, dry and folded the next day for an average price of $2 per load; a portion of this price is used to help social projects.
We provide our students with free coffee, tea, milk, and purified water (as much as you can drink!) and some days we have delicious bread.
The school has a kitchen equipped with a stove, microwave, and utensils which you can use.
It is very important to us that our students are comfortable and feel at home:
If there is anything else you need, just let us know and we’ll be glad to help you out.
